A Tanzania short safari that includes Tarangire National Park, Ngorongoro Crater, Lake Manyara, and Mto Wa Mbe village is a perfect introduction to the country’s wildlife and culture.

Tarangire National Park is known for its large elephant herds, baobab trees, and unique landscapes. Ngorongoro Crater is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts incredible wildlife viewing opportunities, including the Big Five. Lake Manyara is home to flamingos, hippos, and a variety of bird species, and Mto Wa Mbe village offers a chance to experience the local culture and interact with the Masai people. The trip typically includes game drives and cultural experiences with knowledgeable guides.

Trip starts with a night in Arusha before you head towards the Tarangire national park for a day safari and move further towards Ngorongoro Crater. Another day with a full day safari in this inactive caldera, which is home for zebras, antelopes, lions but to top it all, rhinos. Sleep in Karatu for 2 nights and then do a game drive in Lake Manyara known for tree-climbing lions, flamingoes, hippos & giraffes. On the last day, take a trip to cultural village for 4-5 hours tour exploring the local culture, meeting the Masai tribe, trying the local food and cycling around the banana plantations. Try your hand at tasting the local beer ‘mbege’ made from fermented bananas and millet. Finally your trip ends in Arusha.

Itinerary

Day 1

Plan your international flight in a way that you arrive early morning at Kilimanjaro International Airport (Tanzania). It is always convenient to take a night flight, especially when it’s a long haul one. A member of our pride will meet & greet you at the airport.

Your captain will take you through a short briefing as you drive towards Arusha.

Arrive at Masai Land to experience the true Tanzania hospitality. Spend overnight in the hotel & rejuvenate yourself for upcoming safari adventure!

Day 2

Our team has laid out a most inclusive plan to offer the best of game drives around Tanzania. As you are at the luxury of planning your times for game drive, it is always advisable to plan your day ahead, so your day is at your discretion.

A safari in Tarangire National Park is a wonderful experience, with its unique landscapes and incredible wildlife. One of the highlights of Tarangire National Park is its beautiful baobab trees, which can make for some stunning photos. The park is also home to a variety of bird species, making it a great place for birdwatching. Enjoy full-day game drive and head to Karatu to sleep at Farm of Dreams.

Day 3

After a slow morning & relishing a hearty breakfast, it’s time to head out to Ngorongoro Crater. The crater is home to the Big Five – lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos – as well as other animals such as zebras, wildebeest, and hyenas. The landscapes in the crater are breathtaking, with rolling hills and a large lake in the center.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the hippo pool as you enjoy the animal sighting. As the day comes to an end, head back to sleep in Karatu.

Day 4

Wake up to the rising sun and chirping birds in the lap of nature. After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara to witness the diverse range of wildlife and birdlife in a stunning natural setting.

The park is known for its unique tree-climbing lions, as well as large herds of elephants, giraffes, and other animals such as hippos, zebras, and buffaloes. Lake Manyara is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with over 400 species of birds in the area.

Enjoy a picnic lunch near the lake. Soak it all in as you head back to sleep in the camp.

Day 5

Check-out from the camp and head to Arusha where on the way you will pay visit to cultural village. It is a unique and enriching experience that allows you to learn more about the local way of life in Tanzania. During your visit, you can expect to meet Masai warriors and other locals who can show you their way of life, including their traditions, food, and crafts.

You may have the opportunity to try local food, such as ugali and nyama choma, learn about traditional medicine, and watch a local dance performance. You can also visit a local market to see the goods being sold and even try your hand at bargaining.

Visit the banana plantations and if you are up for it, stroll around or cycle your way through. Finally arrive in Arusha and get dropped off at the airport as we bid our goodbyes in the hope of meeting you again.
